Heads Up is a student-led society based at Durham University, affiliated with Student Minds, a national mental health charity based in the UK. If you’d like to meet the Durham exec team, click here.
Heads Up is a society orientated around raising awareness about mental health and well-being. We hope to appeal to the general student population, host regular social events and awareness campaigns throughout the year, and provide resources to students who are coping with stressful situations, mental health issues, or are worried about their friends.
University life can be quite a challenge. By raising awareness and campaigning, we hope to ease some of these challenges and break the stigma surrounding mental health. We also promote a lot of support services in Durham, to help make it easier for you to help yourself or others with getting the support needed to make your student years, your best years!
Feel free to check out this website for more information about us and all things welfare – at university and around the local area. You can also check us out on Facebook for regular updates about socials and campaigns, or on Instagram.
We are always looking for volunteers who would love to help out with our campaigns or socials. If you are interested, please drop us an email (email@example.com) or Facebook message to find out more about being a committee member. We look forward to hearing from you!
Keep your heads up!
